Charles Turner

Charles Turner who was stud groom at the Hermitage during WW1. He lived at Hermitage Cottage and was a skilled horseman. Before living at the Hermitage they were in Chelford and Pendleton in Lancashire where his four sons were born, three of whom served in WW1. After the Hermitage Charles became a publican in Macclesfield.
