Alfred was the eldest son of GF Jackson and also worked in the wallpaper industry. His wife Mary (nee Yarwood) came from Sproston. They lived their entire life in Holmes Chapel. Betty went to live in South Africa.

Mr and Mrs Quin along with Mike Jepson outside the shop on Macclesfield Road (now part of Don Albertos Restaurant). The boy has just won a camera in a village competition. Mr and Mrs Quin lived in the White House, 5 Macclesfield Road, behind the shop. Their son Robert Quin opened an Opticians next to Sam Dales.

David Arthur Hodges Toler was born at Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, on September 13 1920 and educated at Stowe before going up to Christ Church, Oxford, to read Agriculture. He was appointed Commander Land Forces in Northern Ireland at the start of the Troubles in 1969. His father was also Major Toler.
